Welcoming December With Much Love, yea...
The infamous Jägerbomb… I can dig it!
I have indulged from time to time. Nothing like a nice chat around the bar. Everyone is feeling terrific, then someone buys a round of Jägerbombs. Accepting the round is the sincerest form of flattery – indulge. Being responsible, you drink what you feel comfortable with and if too intoxicated -DON’T.
In Germany they call it ”Turbojäger”, Mexico ”Perla Negra” , Finland ”Akkuhappo” and oh yea, it’s really cool to see the infamous Jäger-trains where the shots just fall over into the red bull, a nice experience. Love the Bartenders who gives the bar audience the experience of the Jäger-trains.
However you indulge, make sure you drink responsibly.

Sake Bombs are great anytime but most excellent when having sushi or some great Japanese entrée. There are several ways to take down the sake bomb. You can yell ‘sake sake sake, sake’, ‘ichi… ni… san… Sake Bomb’ or Kanpai.
Sake Bombs are served with warm sake in a shot glass, placed upon two chopsticks over a glass of beer. When you slam your hand or fist on the table, the shot of sake should go directly into the glass of beer. SAKE BOMB!
I usually indulge in the Sake Bomb during a nice dinner with friends over some great sushi or a nice one on one with someone special. Like any responsible writer, it is best to use good judgment on any drink. What works great for one person doesn’t with another. It’s all about the KNOW THYSELF.
Always drink responsibly, that is the coolest way to be.
Let’s hear it for the SAKE BOMB… feeling Sakalicious to try one now.

It is THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF YEAR for me. The Holiday Season brings good feelings like never before. Family traditions are incorporated, while going down memory lane filled with good memories and creating more good memories. There is no stress for me as I prepare Thanksgiving Dinner again this year. It is a sight to tell let me tell you.
I have to get into my ZONE… very ZEN LIKE.
The Menu is finalized three weeks before Thanksgiving. As a pretty amazing cook, details are important for me. While I stay close to the traditional dinner, I always challenge myself to include a new dish. Gotta keep the skills fresh - A MUST DO FOR ME. THE MENU — Split Turkey Breast, Turkey Wings, Turkey Thighs, Two beautiful roasts ( one Sazon Seasoned the other Tarragon flavored ), roasted garlic rosemary cinnamon sugared carrots ( kept whole ), corn on the cob, my famous Collards ( I use smoked jowls for one pot and smoked turkey for another pot –picky icky family ♥ ), Cabbage, Rice, Dressing ( sweet n hot sausage added for one pan, no pork for the other pan – picky icky moment again ), skillet panned cornbread, cranberry sauce w/ mint with a shot of scotch flambayed really quick ( pray for me those who do pray that I don’t catch my hair or anything on fire — pretty good at that but caution is alwasy on deck ), macaroni and cheese, broccoli slaw, three pies, two cakes ( they were done yesterday, totally good on that thank goodness ), dinner rolls, various fruit and various drinks.
With a very busy at times demanding of my time/attention lifestyle, cooking can be very therapeutic for me. I go into my zone like many cooks do. From chopping, mincing, seasoning, cutting, slicing, sometimes measuring ( I eyeball most times ), peeling, tasting, heating up my fingers, flambaying, it is very pleasurable for me. I come from a very impressive line of cooks, many have moved on from this life so carrying on the traditions I feel very honored to do so. Sometimes going into my deep zone, I can feel positive vibes of approval from these great cooks I am thankful to have been in their presence. I also get to chat it up with my family and friends ( they are so put on speaker phone while I am like the mad hatter in the kitchen ) on how they may do their collards ( ham hocks diehards detesting my use of pork jowls ), bragging on their dishes, complimenting each other on the plates we send to each other, life, and more conversations family and friends share.
What really puts me in the Zone more, is the SADE LIVE IN CONCERT DVD. I press play. I glance in at times at the television, the volume is turned all the way up with surround sound as if I was there enjoying the show in real time. As a Sade Fan, it really get’s through the entire cooking process that last for about 6 to 10 hours in the evening to wee hours of the night. With a full day of priorities, I start my Thanksgiving cooking tonight at 2am — in thirty minutes. Official Holiday Music happens for me after Thanksgiving, even though many radio stations are in full throttle. I like my Thanksgiving to be fully respected then on to the Christmas Holidays. Good vibes, great family, great friends, good vibes, good music that runs deep with me. I plan on having a good time catching up on my gaming ( big video gamer here ), sports, some midnight bowling with family and friends, some childhood games ( Life, Sorry, Monopoly ), movies, eating.
All of this is pretty normal for many ( laughing )
This Is The Most Wonderful Time Of Year. I feel pretty good with how these last weeks have been. Spent some time helping those in need with various ways of giving leading up to Thanksgiving. For me this is a BIG part of the great karma and balance in my life no matter what I face on a personal or professional level. Now… it is time for me to end this post and get to cooking. Going into my Zone and Zen mode.

Have you been feeling like you are all grilled out?
Summer peaking and yet you feel this way? Most who feel this way are those like myself who have been grilling since April. The pallette is trying to tell you something. The body is trying to tell you something! I enjoy grilling and using my smoker. I open up a bottle of wine, let it breathe, twist off a nice cold beer and enjoy the experience.
I recently sat down to write out some recipes to turn up the tastebuds!
VEGGIES*
You can really go broad!
From limes ( pairs well with lamb chops pictured above ) to the following:
Limes are great to grill then juice over fish/seafood
Lemons, Asparagus, Salmon
Mix it up… red oinions, chicken breast, olives and more
Kabob’s…
Eggplant… mouthwatering
Nice sandwich right? Grill It!
Yogurt, Tomatoes, Jalepenos, Avacado
Flatbreads are great to grill, add on some arugula, fire roasted tomatoes, oinions, goat cheese, spinach, olives, extra virgin olive oil, add some lobster, you really can go wild here. Get your grill back, I with ya!
FYI:
When you wanna heat up the tastebuds tomatoes are EXCELLENT !
I love HEAT, and tomatoes work everytime, not water, tomatoes.
Get out your grilling comfort zone and enjoy these and more alternatives!

Schmitt Sohne Travels Very Well With Me
The large sized bottles are terrific for taking to dinner parties, presenting for guest to my dinner parties, and for those moments you surely know you are going to open and finish the bottle. Good times!

It’s heavy stuff being romantic but I handle it well like others! ( ahaaa ) Heavy stuff but somebody has to do it! To all Romantics, the true blues we’re romantic with someone and with ourselves. Lovely times. Preparing for a romantic dinner? This is a top choice wine. It pairs well with seafood dishes I’ve served -especially my Red Snapper Dish, a variety of salads, and dessert. Next time you see the striking BLUE, grab a bottle or a four pack!
Schmitt Sohne… get into it!
