BEBE’S WORDS: I love connecting with people. I love being in the company of elders and now I find myself being the elders of others. I managed to avoid therapy when younger people say ‘Yes Ma’am’. It use to horrify me now it is flattering with well manners. I visit Peter Pan Island “Neverland” often -purity is there, we all should hold on to some part of our innocence, our youth for balance -yet I am embracing my ‘Grown Up’ very well. Life Rocks for me even in the midst of any situation. I like to see people WIN AT LIFE. While I am a ‘Straight Shooter’, I make sure I check myself to not lose myself… that whole Vinegar/Honey/Kindness of the tongue mantra is always present. I am aware of the various platforms I have created for public consumption and the responsibility that comes with it to build up than tear down. Shall I flaw, I have those around me who checks the Fiery Earthchild. I have much respect for what the media reporting industry was about in the ‘beginnings’, many of the advances today and respect for my media family who feel somewhat mutual as myself.
“While my accomplishments are many to viewers, I pale in comparison to many in my family – my humble opinion. Coming from a family on BOTH SIDES of intellectuals and entrepreneurs- ‘grandparents’ who didn’t have a higher education but were business owners and such provided a well rounded life for their children to pursue higher education thus providing an opportunity for their children the next generation where I fell into to have a higher education – a chance for a better life. Many can relate to this moment it is the whole ‘continue to do better in your generation than the generation before’. It was expected and pretty normal in my family to involve yourself in business, law, education, Civil Rights, Women’s Rights, humanitarian efforts, technology, religious conversations, spiritual conversations, political conversations, social issues, music, art, travel, business owner, most importantly giving back to those in need. Through my accomplishments I stay on the humble and thankful for each moment reaching those around the world. I could have never reach people around the world without the technology of some amazing people making it happen for all of us in the Media Industry. Thankful for a very supportive family, especially my parents and their love for an unconventional child, they are both AWESOME!” -BEBE
THE DEJA VIBE: I totally get it, when someone wants to just ‘SPAZZ’ on a particular situation or a person. It irks me to no end about some of the foolery happening with some celebrities, breaking news, public figures, various social topics… I TOTALLY get it. Being on the reporting side, as a journalist I have a responsibility to be as objective as possible. Integrity is important. Retractions I don’t care for, opinions are opinions, facts are facts. Fact checking is essential -Eyes Wide Open. Blogs are created for the most part to bring liked minds together for the ‘agree to disagree’ moments. Differences of opinion is welcomed.
