Chaka Khan was candid in her interview with Piers Morgan for CNN. Not only is Chaka a friend to Whitney but many of Whitney’s earlier sessions as a singer was done on Chaka’s albums. Friendships are often ‘thin lined’ but their friendship was genuine, sisterly, spiritually connected. Chaka Khan referred throughout the interview to the ‘sensitive’ moments of entertainers, sensitive in the aspect of ’temptations’ all around at a heightened pace more than those not in the industry of entertainment could understand. Unless you are not in the know, celebrities who have been candid for decades give accounts of how easy it is to become a part of the world of drugs. Your very entourage is often times the prime ones to ‘put you on’. Entertainers have spoken about how the drug of choice most times cocaine keeps them going with a high demand schedule. Whether you choose to do drugs or not, when you are on the scene in the industry, you will encounter drugs all around you and/or people high on drugs around you. Choice… we all have choices in these matters and more.
CHAKA ON THE GRAMMY’S 2012
Chaka did contact the powers that be of the Grammy’s after hearing reports she would be doing a tribute with Jennifer Hudson for Whitney Houston. Chaka was informed they were bouncing off ideas but decided to go with Jennifer Hudson. Chaka went on to elaborate with Piers to perform for her, would have been inappropriate. Chaka… candid and I love it.
CHAKA CANDID ON ADDICTIONS
Chaka spoke without hesitation on her addiction in the world of drugs. One drug in particular she spoke on was cocaine. In the entertainment industry, especially for performers, cocaine most times is the go to drug of choice. Chaka has been sober for seven years but she did speak upon the ‘sensitive’ nature again the ‘temptations’ that doesn’t go away. The business of the industry does entail enabler’s. It is their goal to keep you as a client. Many people are drawn in by those who claim they care. Once drawn in unless one turns it around death is around the corner as the ultimate outcome.
Chaka became more candid speaking about moments of getting high with both Whitney and Bobby Brown. In no way was Chaka glamorizing the moment. It is her very candid nature that is respected by myself. If you followed the backstory of this legend Chaka Khan you knew of her addictions. Addictions are real. Being once addicted to drugs and becoming clean Chaka did try to reach out to Whitney many times to turn it around as did others close to Whitney.
WHITNEY TO CHAKA AND OTHERS
Chaka told Piers Morgan Whitney would often say “I’m a Grown Ass Woman”. Chaka said Whitney would listen to what you would have to say and from there she would do it her way. Again, this goes back to choice and the addictive personalities of loved ones who feel their ‘drugging’ is not that serious when it is. The ‘it won’t happen to me’ is what they feel. Addictions are real.
CHAKA’S REACTION ON THE DEATH OF WHITNEY
“She ( Whitney ) was so close to the wire, if she was spared, she would have been a greater human being.” says Chaka Khan. Chaka found out about the death of her friend after touching down in Los Angeles. Chaka went on to say she could not do anything, she was mourning. Basically devastated like many others at the death of Whitney Houston. Chaka referred to Whitney as her little sister.
CHAKA’S REACTION TO THE CLIVE DAVIS PARTY
Chaka stated to Piers Morgan she thought it was complete insanity to continue on with the Pre-Grammy party hosted by Clive Davis. ”Knowing Whitney she would NOT have said the show would have gone on… she would have said STOP EVERYTHING if I’m not going to be there.” Khan went on to say what many people have been saying, ”I don’t know what would motivate a person, whose life you influenced… don’t know how that party went on. Piers Morgan interjected carefully how Clive Davis was mourning, expressing the party would be a tribute. Chaka interjected back and trailed off on the sincerity of Clive Davis and others. Chaka says nothing less than others are saying, even what I said in my post before this interview. Chaka Khan continued on regarding the Grammy Party/Tribute happening as Whitney’s dead body was a whisper away from all attending, some smiling taking photo ops, dancing and more. ”If it was a true tribute… say a prayer and go home.”

This very statement won’t quell the conspiracy theories but it is a statement that has been said before in many cases long before Houston’s death. People have their thoughts on the death of Whitney Houston. In time for the family I hope there will be closure with exactness of what happened. If not, if we never find out, if there was a conspiracy, may the Winds of Change bring swift justice to those it applies to. I do not think anyone will be forgetting how that party went down with Houston’s body upstairs and a child, her child upstairs distraught. Like the words of Chaka, say a prayer and GO HOME.
CHAKA’S RESPONSE ON BOBBY BROWN BY PIERS
Piers Morgan asked Chaka candidly if she felt Bobby Brown, Whitney Houston’s ex-husband was a factor in the addictions Whitney faced privately, publicly. Chaka stated with a sensitive flair mostly out of respect in my opinion for Bobbi Kristina daughter of both Whitney and Bobby, “If it weren’t Bobby it would be someone else”. After the interview with Chaka Khan, Piers brought on guest Jennifer Holliday who confirmed Whitney was using drugs way before Bobby came on the scene. This news is shocking for some but for me it was not. People love to seek out a villain but many times those addicted mask their issues early on giving those on the outside looking in an Oscar Worthy performance. I cannot confirm if Whitney was exposed to the drugs before Bobby Brown according to Holliday but talk about a revelation for those who didn’t know. I am sure more revelations will be happening as time goes on.

Whitney Houston’s mother the great Cissy Houston is coping. Too many times Cissy Houston feared for her daughter’s life. Chaka says Bobbi Kristina is coping as well as expected. Bobbi Kristina’s father Bobby Brown who cancelled the rest of his tour engagements will be flying to LA to be with Bobbi Kris during this difficult time. The concern is for everyone to be there for Bobbi Kris, making sure she doesn’t go down the wrong path. Chaka says she is very close to the family, it is really a difficult time. Truly I do not feel anyone with compassion does not understands this.

Glad Chaka was so honest. She didn’t give Piers no time to address her own addict/recovery life, she talked about her life and her recovery. So many people want to blame Bobby Brown for Whitney’s addiction but we all have choices. When Chaka said her, Bobby and Whitney use to get down he would be wilding wanting to manage her I died laughing right with Chaka. I know Chaka was like it’s the drugs talking but I’m not that high, you will not manage me. lol I love me some Chaka Khan. She spoke the truth. Who in the world would go to that Grammy Party knowing Whitney was dead, upstairs body not even cold cold. Disgusting. I really hope they bring the real truth out of her death. I would have been knocking on that door after 20 minutes asking if she was okay. Sick for anyone to attend that party. Chaka was giving Clive that side eye. My prayers are with the family. Celebs have been using cocaine because it is an upper. It get’s them through tours, sessions, interviews and the entourage most times are getting high too. My heart goes out the family of Whitney Houston, especially Bobbi Kris. Chaka’s been in the game to loong for me not to believe her. When you look at everything Whitney doing the movie, doing the interviews, going to Kelly P’s party singing of all things a gospel song, I felt she knew her time was coming soon. They always know. Chaka handled herself really good on Piers Morgan’s show and Jennifer. That whole Clive Davis Grammy Party fuels rumors of illuminati.

The people around you could recover with no probs then you left out there out of control.

In truth, I am a bit afraid for Chaka Khan now. Why did she go on air and make that statement about the industry being demonic? I respect her for having the guts to spell out the truth or about as much as she could through thinly veiled hints but I just hope they don’t bump her off as punishment. Maybe she figures majority of people are too sheep-like to read between the lines or maybe she’s too disgusted by Whitney’s death to care about it.

Are you an Illuminati believer? Conspiracies have always been a part of this culture of entertainment, celebrity mystery deaths and so forth. In regards to Whitney Houston’s death people are feeling some kind of way in regards to the events/actions surrounding her death. People are using numerology to other theories to prove their point on the whole Illuminati connection. Chaka being close to the situation just stated her feelings, feelings that have been expressed decades before on celebrity life and the costs of fame. I think Chaka an industry veteran with great ties, powerful ties more than you know will be fine. LOL
There are many DEATH HAG sites that really get to the essence of celebrity death’s. They deconstruct the accounts leading up to the deaths,they get close to sources who are reliable giving accounts of what really happened and they manage to get pictures of death scenes, reports etc which is pretty incredible. I’m a DEATH HAG because I love history and accounts in my line of work and on a personal level. Those persons who run these sites are still alive, ‘Illuminati’ isn’t bothering them and they in my opinion really get things going on the whole industry life/conspiracy. I am not an Illuminati believer nor do I know if any such thing really exists or is in the business of bumping off celebrities. But I am also not easily persuaded that it’s all clean and hunky dory. Once the stakes get high, monetarily, ugly things can and do happen. A cricketer who confessed to match fixing in a court hearing telecast to the public died in a plane crash shortly thereafter. His coach at that time passed away several years later in mysterious circumstances and the investigation was shockingly bungled up. Upright govt officers in my country have been shot dead literally in broad daylight and their culprits were never brought to book even though anybody could have taken a good guess as to who stood to be benefited by his death.
At such times, it is hard to completely believe that all is above board or that mischief mongers don’t exercise some influence over the ordinary course of law. Of course, there is no proof, no tangible evidence so it would not be proper for me or anybody else to accuse or allege things but that doesn’t quell my suspicion either. I shall hope nothing unusual turns up in the toxicology tests for the late Whitney because that will at least close the case once and for all. .
Sinister comes in all aspects of life, profession. I do think there is enough unanswered questions the family and fans but more so who really matters the family have to hopefully stay optimistic TRUTH will prevail. Thanks for posting. I am not sure why it would irk ‘some’ of Whitney Houston’s fans… well let me take that back. If they aren’t connected to the ‘industry’ they would be coming from a naive perspective, a perspective of they just don’t know. But in fairness those not in the industry but they make it PRIME to know much of the life, they too know of the drug life that goes on with their fave fan. If in the industry it is not a revelation but factual accounts many celebrities ‘party’ together. Chaka and Whitney’s history goes back to a 15 year old Whitney singing background on her album CHAKA. So it didn’t shock me they would connect in that way – didn’t know it before her revelations but it didn’t shock me, not at all.
Not everyone in the industry ‘parties’ the term for getting together to get high at your home, on the road, at a party etc but everyone in the industry of HOLLYWOOD-ESQUE ROCK N ROLL-ESQUE nature even Underground knows of the drug scene, some just choose not to indulge. I didn’t see the deflection or deception, it was in my opinion Chaka being honest to what many knew about her life – a life many of fans favorite artists take a part in. Some are better at masking their drug use than others. In saying all of this just to be clear, I am speaking from the IN THE KNOW perspective. If you look at the whole scope of entertainers, dating back to the 20′s forward ( because you could go further back than that with the many aphrodisiacs taken to ‘feel good’ by other notables of history ) drugs/fame/ has been on the scene and it won’t disappear. Frenemies at best to those who indulge because DEATH is always near in those realms. As I tell people, you only know the public persona of your fans, after the lights dim, there are some aspects of their lives you wouldn’t want to know. The worse is denying and acting straight laced when at any given time someone could expose you. Truth is always better, that’s what I got from Chaka. Truth seems easy but many people have a better time lying and being in denial. Again thanks for the post at THE DEJA. -BEBE
By deception, I meant that the thrust of Chaka’s statements was shifted so that people might focus on something that was not really very important at all. I agree with you and it did not surprise me to know Chaka used to party with Whitney and I actually didn’t even really notice it until I came across articles playing up only that portion and sidestepping the part where she criticized Davis for carrying on with the pre Grammys party.
Well the conversation is alive and well about the Grammy Party that carried on and said to be a ‘tribute’ while Whitney Houston’s body remained upstairs. From blog comments to celebrities ( few ) have stated their displeasure. Honestly it won’t change things. There’s a saying said many ways but basically it goes like this. When you first die, they mourn you so many do, they are heartbroken. Then in as quick as a week, a month someone says the deceased name and they say “who?”. The greater pain lies with the family. Just by the tone of this poster, it’s safe to say there’s an agenda we don’t even do here at THE DEJA. They came in with no greeting just wanting to drive home a point of Clive Davis party and that’s deflection. We’re not interested in tossing around crazy theories, that’s another blog. I move as a long time poster to close this thread or not entertain the craziness. Whitney had an addiction, she should have never been drinking or in an environment where she could backslide. None of us know what was going on in that room. However, if God didn’t want Whitney she would be with us today. I wouldn’t be suprised if this wasn’t the same poster questioning you Bebe about Chaka doing drugs with Whitney and Bobby. Always look at the tone of a post.

Jennifer Holliday didn’t hold back did she? lol Funny how she or others weren’t so vocal in a public way when Whitney was alive. People love to talk but actions to really help someone with addiction you find friends fade way, disappointments in people treating you and avoiding you like the plague. Whitney doesn’t have to endure her life on front street anymore where it bothers her. She’s resting in peace. Hopefully people can look from this and straighten up their own lives.
