WELL WELL WELL the ‘fashion gods’ stopped the rain for morning to midday shows as the kick off of New York Fashion Week starts. Despite the weather, umbrella’s of various designs will continue to make their mark as undaunted fashion lovers and spectators take it all in. 2011 Fashion Week September 8-15 New York, New York Fashion Week is pretty amazing. I’ve been fortunate to have gone for three years but this year I’m readying other things that need my undivided attention and appearance. I’ve placed my team to cover NYFW and Fashion Night Out. I must say they are doing an excellent job. Inner In Crowd Buzz… attending any show for fashion week is a good look. Whether you are reporting, making an appearance as the who’s who of the fashion world, behind the scenes, it is always an exciting time connecting with people who love fashion. I give love to those behind the scenes that pull it all together. I never think they get enough love so I am sending much your way this week behind the scenes gods and goddesses. Though I am front and center many times, much of what goes into my business entities and work for others when I freelance is behind the scenes. The magic of pulling it all together is beyond compare. September has done a nice cool down temperature wise to give some fall season fanatics a chance to give a taste of fall without looking completely out of sync. Today reviews were favorable for designers Nicholas K, BCBG Maxazaria, Richard Chai, Tadashi Shoji. As the week goes on, more designers will have their moments and my team will be there to report and give our take on all things fashion week. Vibes are important in my world. It sets the tone of how the day will go. Stay around the positive vibes of others to enjoy spectacular fashion week. Take in as many events as you can, be on time for the fashion shows, especially my media reporting family. I am glad for some of the black designers getting love. Anyone see Nicki Minaj getting that Anna Wintour love? Never saw that one coming. Oh well.
