A VANITY MOMENT | With Love, Nature Boy

There was a boy, a very strange enchanting boy.  They say he wandered very far, very far over land and sea. A little shy and sad of eye but very wise was he. And then one day, a magic day he passed my way.  And as we spoke of many things, fools and kings, this he said to me… The greatest thing, you’ll ever learn.  Is just to love and be loved in return.

The greatest thing… you’ll ever learn… is just to be loved… and be loved… in return. ~NATURE BOY

… Just Love

This version of the classic Nature Boy...
Is sexy, jazzy, pure vocals definitely a classic
From my collection played as I hit the sunny streets
With my sunny disposition enjoying the day.
Love me some Vanity who today is an evangelist Denise Matthews
No longer associating herself with the persona of Vanity
The former protege' of Prince, singer, actress, model, more
Evangelist Matthews triumphed over her demons,
Unlike others Who didn't make it,
The beautiful reality, she did.
Vanity Fans this ones for us BACK DOWN MEMORY LANE MOMENT

  1. I love you gurl lol You and your throwbacks, they get me everytime. I love Vanity Denise Matthews too. I am glad she found her way back from troubles. Oh I got your latest post too 3×2=6 Vanity 6 classic. lol Those were the days. Bring good music back please that is my prayer.

  2. She’s a survivor of what took alot of people out. Drugs is never the answer but I love comebacks. This is a nice remember when. Thanks deja.

  3. Nature Boy is one of my favorite songs from Moulin Rouge, Nat King Cole and Vanity. Thanks for posting this. I haven’t heard her version in a long time, at least 10 years. Glad to see she is doing what will make her soul happy.

  4. Vanity has always been a beautiful woman that attracted men of various races. Leaving the industry sure had to do with her being close to death but it all comes down to making grown up choices. She could have chosen to continue her ways and die out but she didn’t. Even prince changed some of his old ways. I’ve always loved this song and the way she sung it. This is why I love your blog, unexpected posts – refreshing. Everyone has a good weekend.

  5. Remembering the good ole days when everyone had their own identity, their own music. I miss those days and the artist. Nice memory lane post. Thanks. #labordaylove
