Documentary Time | MONICA AND DAVID

MONICA & DAVID… And HBO Documentary Film really touched me on many levels.  I viewed the DOCU about a month ago. With my busy life, I am now able to put into words my thoughts here at deja vu u a.d. blog.  Indeed this is a LOVE STORY.  For me it is a story of romantic love, selfless love, compassionate love, humanitarian love, a parents unconditional love.  Here is the SYNOPSIS .

It is safe to say relationships have ‘Challenges’.  What really struck a heart of hearts chord with me was the parents of both Monica and David.  They were able to openly discuss their fears regarding their children and give them the freedom to live a productive enough life in a world whereas others like them with down syndrome don’t have the chance to do so.  It is a real eye opener for people to see the range of someone with down syndrome and the one track minded stereotypes that are brought upon those with physical/mental/social challenges.  We all can be a piece of work whether we choose to believe it or not, even those of us who feel assuredly we are SANE.

The interaction between the two were beautiful showing the love, the jealousy, figuring it out as they go along… the makings of many relationships without the other challenges they face.  I found the documentary endearing, showing a clearer point of view of the many advances that have been made by those with special needs who when given the chance can thrive in this world.  If you get a chance, make sure you check out the documentary on HBO.

Quote by Herman Melville

“Who in the rainbow can draw a line where the violet tint ends and the orange tint begins?  Distinctly we see the difference of the colors, but where exactly does the first blendingly enter into the other?  So with sanity and insanity.”

STATE OF THE UNION ADDRESS | 2011

– The State Of The Union Address took place tonight and the world was watching.  While many build up the partisan moment of Democrats and Republicans, my focus was on the words of The President Of The United States, President Barack Obama.  President Barack Obama addressed the economy during the very beginning of his speech.  There were some light hearted moments, some of the same rhetoric that was important to speak on -overall effective. ECONOMY TALK.  It was a realistic approach for what Americans are facing today.  There was a time when with absolute certainty you can retire from your job, have the option of seeking another job easily and see children if they chose to work at the same job their parents did.  Today this certainty is far, few and yes in between.  A reality moment indeed was made by the President, President Barack Obama.

The President spoke on energy, technology, education, tax cuts, expectations, the proposed bill that he will send to Congress and the talk of REINVENTING AMERICA.  The key points of the SOTU Speech received applause, non-applause, the healthcare bill was addressed but the important aspect is the ACTION. The action is what will set the course of getting Americans working, creating better energy solutions, education, seeing our military men and women, their families through their moments more effectively and more positives for Americans.  Action MUST be taken seriously and all political parties have to come together more than not.   The world is watching as I’ve always stated.

The world is watching even for those who have been newly elected into their respective offices of government.  The vote doesn’t always swing the same way.  Those in office wanting the best for Americans need to take heed to those who are the GATEKEEPERS of progressive action for the best interest of this country -AMERICA.  The GATEKEEPERS are the VOTERS.  Those looking toward 2012, need to make sure they are looking at the here and now.  WORKING TOGETHER TO GET OUR COUNTRY MOVING IN A MORE POSITIVE POSITION, FEELING THOSE EFFECTS MORE THAN HEARING OF THE POSITIVE EFFECTS HOPED FOR. Those on their NOSTRADAMUS speaking of one term President need to not speak prematurely.  The same voters who elected this President will be the same voters and more to re-elect him if this be the course of destiny.  This very fact doesn’t overshadow AMERICA needs to see more results from this President but it is a fact nevertheless. Results come from a collective group- PARTISAN -than not.

Americans collectively are still in need of  jobs, education needs to always be addressed and improved, retirement, social security, health, these are MAJOR concerns.  It is time we hold these components mention and more in steady and high regard from those who represent us to the fullest extent.  THE WORLD IS INDEED WATCHING, The American Voters the TRUE GATE KEEPERS are watching.  America we do stand and divided we do fall.  I am for STANDING and MANY along with me.  God Bless America.

STEELERS VS JETS | AFC CHAMPIONSHIP

THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS are the AFC Champions, headed to the Super-bowl to face off with the Green-bay Packers.  Congrats to STEELER NATION on a much anticipated game and a pretty solid season.

sidenote: True Steeler fans know it’s Black n Gold NOT Black n Yellow… So I’m going to need some of you to stop with the YELLOW.  I am not even a Steeler’s fan but I know that much.  Do better or you will find yourself exposed.

Frauds… you can tell them every time ( laughing )

MIKE TOMLIN, Coach of  The Pittsburgh Steelers

( unquote ) Tomlin spoke on his respect for The Jets making it to the Championship, his respect for his team, the true brotherhood of the team and was quite pleased putting on the CHAMPIONSHIP  T-SHIRT.  His tone was level, with much pride in the victory that many of us witnessed for NFL SUNDAY.

The New York Jets had an outstanding season, with no bye week, many say this was part of the problem.  Of course you have to look at more components than this but it truly was an amazing ride to get here for the Jets – they should be proud of the accomplishments.

REX RYAN, Coach of The NY Jets

At the podium was very silent. It was an uncomfortable silence.  Then the words came, “Very proud of my team.  We played a good half but we never played a good game.  Gotta give Pittsburgh credit, they are a heck of a football team.  Obviously there is just a huge amount of disappointment but I am proud of my team.  Again, our goal for next year, I got news for you, it won’t change, it won’t never change. We’re gonna chase it until we it. You got no right to criticize us.”  The Pittsburgh Steelers is a good football team, they deserve to go to the Super-bowl.  From there Coach Ryan opened up for questions.

From the beginning, Big Ben literally got the first down in the first half of the game, with nine minute drives – ALL PITTSBURGH.  Mendenhall  #34 making his great plays, it was a sight to see.  Big Ben doesn’t discriminate with the ball, he gives the rookies some love with the passes, confidence in his team.  The first half of the game came with fumbles, a corner blitz, a 19 yard touchdown – Pittsburgh was owning the field and the scoreboard. One love goes out to the Offensive/Defensive line of the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Big Ben will run the ball.   If you are a SUPER SPORT’S FAN LIKE ME, Ben’s been doing this since the high school days in Ohio, much improvising,  he can shake off the arm tackles, and Ben will go get the 1st down, no problem.  People were saying GAME OVER BY THIS POINT of pure dominance, but it would not be the case GOOD PEOPLE AND TRUE SPORT FANS.

From sacking Sanchez, Steelers scoring continuously on the Jets, running game, physical to the core – Pittsburgh dominated.  During the third quarter some adjustments were made from the New York Jets.  From a field goal, touchdown by Santonio #10 from the  Jets, this knocked the lead down from 24-10 – 24-19 – giving new life to The Jets from being ‘swept’.  The dynamics changed during the second half, showing a different looking New York Jets – definitely not lackluster.   While the Jets scored, time was running out – SPORTS FANS YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN.

With the clock not on the Jets side, Pittsburgh would win the game, with Rex Ryan shown throwing down the headset.  GAME OVER.  Realistically when down by that much with the score the way it was, with the defense of Pittsburgh, it is not impossible but very unlikely to make the comeback on this caliber of team.  The windchill during the game was below zero, good football weather, the fans of both teams attending on both sides are DEDICATED. When it comes to heart and respect both teams have great QB’s and outstanding Sportsmanship.

At the 1 minute mark in the 4th quarter,  THE PITTSBURGH STEELERS ARE THE AFC CHAMPIONS headed to the Super-bowl to face-off with THE GREENBAY PACKERS.  At the podium, Ben Roethlisberger gives sportsmanship love to Rex Ryan and the NY Jets for slowing them down in the second half.   Roethlisberger  stayed very humble during  press conference, giving big love to his team, definitely a BROTHERHOOD to be proud of.  The TERRIBLE TOWELS ARE WAVING AROUND STEELER NATION, the feeling is ecstatic.  Super-bowl 45 happens February 6 in Dallas Texas.  I am working it out, no definite but I am trying to be there like last year.

Gotta love the game.

PACKERS VS STEELERS… this is going to be a great Super-bowl Game.

PACKERS VS BEARS | Sunday Championship Game

One thing is for sure during the NFL Championship Game today between the Chicago Bears and the Greenbay Packers, HEART and RESPECT seems to be the words used among many on the social networks, via text and the passionate conversations during games watched with friends and family. Despite the win we have to give it up to the DEFENSE of the Chicago Bears for simply NOT HAVING THE DEFEATEST ATTITUDE that many viewers of the game felt QB Jay Cutler displayed. *keep typing*

They say it all goes back to the Quarterback.  Much is going to be said about this during the look back in the next few days.  The defense put pressure on the Bears, during the first half.   For most part, Chicago Bears could not find their rhythm, it was painful for many to look at.  I must say about the Chicago Bear’s fans, the TRUE FANS have loyalty and heart.  That is how it’s done, that is how it is always done.  Fair-weathered not respected.

Talking…

Dwayne Wade on the Bears - Great year by my bears..we build from here.. Stephen A Smith congrts to GB for there road to superbowl, Cutler. No excuse for this nonsense. I’m so happy for Rodgers and GB, just to erase the memory of Brett Favre. But Cutler? A joke. PATHETIC! ( Stephen is having a moment because you can never erase Brett Farve. Is it personal Stephen because that was a H.O.P.  statement… Deion we had to hit Stephen with the Hold On Playa ), Larenz Tate on the Bears Shouts to all Chicago #Bears fan! Win or not we are the best fans on the planet! Go Bears! #Loyalty, Not the way we wanted to end the season. Our boy 54 and the D stepped up, congrats to G.B., Jeremy Piven, Culter doesn’t bring out the best in his teammates says Jimmie Johnson.   Yes people were feeling some kind of way about this game on NFL Sunday.

Lovie Smith… kept it classy, the coach of  The Chicago Bears

Heart of Champions are remembered… those who display less when it is needed, are remembered too for all the wrong reason.  Fact.

THE GAME ZONE… back to front

BJ Raji  ’The Freezer’ #90 for Green Bay Packers… sailed it for the touchdown during the fourth quarter taking Green Bay Packers to the lead of 21-7 at the chagrin of The Chicago Bears.  This NFC Championship game had all the makings of HIGH HOPES during the latter quarters for a memorable game.   Under five minutes in the fourth quarter Chicago scored a touchdown #80 Bennett, which for me, just showed so much heart, so much heart -RESPECT for The Chicago Bears.

From Helmet to Helmet hit fines, not finding the rhythm during the first half for Chicago, challenges, running the ball with effectiveness from Green Bay, Chicago began to put the PRESSURE on after not showing up in the first half of this Championship Game.  Hanie for the Chicago Bears stayed in the zone despite some well executed coverage of  The Packers getting some 1st down’s under some Packer Pressure, I say for the number 12, give Hanie some more play time for the 2011 season.

Aaron Rodgers, QB meeting Terry Bradshaw, “You know a lil about this”.  Truly Bradshaw does, fact.

Aaron Rogers – “It’s an incredible feeling”

BJ Raji -”It’s excited, blessed and happy to be a Greenbay Packer”

Interceptions will be the definitive factor at the end of this game.  One thing is for sure, what seemed like a snore of a game ended up being a game to be applauded by BOTH CHICAGO BEARS AND THE GREENBAY PACKERS.  Congrats to the Greenbay Packers the NFC Champions 21-14, they will be headed to the SUPERBOWL. Heart of Champions are remembered… those who display less when it is needed, are remembered too for all the wrong reasons.  Today collectively we saw Champions on the field from both teams.  For any game there is one true winner, Salute to the Greenbay Packers, well done.  True sport’s fans, you gotta love the game for the LOVE OF THE GAME.

You’ve been deja vu’d,
