Rihanna ‘star’ tattoo inspired many women to go get some stars placed on their backs, on their chest areas, the feet and other places. Shout out to INKSTARR Kat Von D who rocked the stars before Ri Ri with unique placement which she admitted to being inspired by another young lady but the phenomenon came at a fast pace when Rihanna got inked. Personally I know of five poeple who are rocking star tattoos. Ages Bebe? Ages 21, two 25, 28, and 33 years old.
While the stars are cute, very trendy – What is your reason for really wanting it?
INKING YOURSELF for trendy purposes is not the move… just saying.
BLASTING…
I personally like this one
It’s sexy, feminine, and the placement in my opinion is cool. Some people make the loudest noise about tattoo’s because that is something they would never do or something they want to do but fear. Include indecision, worrying about what others will say when it comes to reasons they will not get a tattoo. To me, it is a personal choice. I can respect the individual choices as someone who is inked. Reverse it, those who get their tattoos for the most part wear them with pride. While we’ve all seen an increase in tattoos in today’s society, while it is a trend to some, the larger community of INKSTARRS think it through.
They think through what they are going to get placed on their bodies, there is a personal meaning behind the tattoos and they respond maturely to those who come at them with what seems like never ending questions and more opinions as to why their personal choice should not have been one at all. For those people like myself who are highly committed to their tattoos, there is no thoughts of lasers tattoo removals, and no regrets.

The blog comments were blowing up when the pictures and news hit the blogsphere of Rihanna’s latest tattoo. The French Aficiando’s came out and stated Rihanna was incorrect on how she worded her tattoo. The tattoo reads on her neck, ‘Rebelle Fleur’ meaning Rebel Flower. French Aficiando’s with their critical selves ( mostly those who studied french or the high and mighty ) are correct the way to write it in french would be ‘Fleur Rebelle’. The BEAUTY of being INKED there are NO RULES on how you want something placed on you. Unwritten rule is to not copy exact someone’s custom idea ( a no no but it happens ). Rihanna for whatever reason wanted it to say Rebel Flower in french with the Rebelle coming first. GET OVER IT AFICIANDOS ( laughing ) .
Other blog comments were on the whole ghetto this, ghetto that. When will people get it that what you may think, another may not think. I am very sure Rihanna is not worried about who thinks what in terms of her INK WORK. When INK ART is place to the hands, the neck, the face it can be extreme. In the INK WORLD it is a ‘badass’ move. It is said to be a high level of commitment to your tattoo. As far as people commenting about not getting hired in Corporate with inkwork, that is not true. I have friends in very high corporate positions. They are inked in some very visible places. Intelligence sets in motion therefore they have their jobs. There are products on the market specifically designed to cover your INK ART. When applied correctly there are no signs of their ink. One of my girlfriends says it doesn’t interrupt her flow as she prepares for work. “I put on my face makeup I add this to my morning routine.” Where is her ink? She has a full sleeve on her right arm. The part that shows by her wrists, she covers it up with the cover make-up. No fuss, no muss, and those who are wiser or not the wiser don’t have to encounter the inkwork while she is at work. During off work functions with her job, such as breast cancer walks, runs for various causes she rocks her full sleeve walking or running alongside her bosses and co-workers. When you check the climate of who is rocking tattoos, many uber professionals are rocking the ink and those who were indecisive in their younger years are coming in to tattoo shops getting inked for the first time. We’re talking people over 40 years old. No matter if you think someone is taking it too far, that is their choice, their business, their life. To get too consumed is a waste of energy.
It’s a diverse world out here. How you carry yourself through life determines the amount of highs, the amount of lows there is to face. We all will face them with or without the INK. If considering getting a new tattoo, or your first tattoo think about what you are getting. Make it a point to come up with something that is meaningful to you not copy something that is meaningful to someone else. Look at the options of ink coverups out here, especially when you are on the career path where it may not be acceptable on a visible sphere. While I am not a fan of the written word tattoos, if it is what someone wants, that is their choice. I am a more detailed tattoo fan. I have much respect for the placements, especially when they are ballsy. Rock that out!
Famous opinion on tattoos: When you get old it’s gonna look some kinda way. Check it out, when one get’s old, they can say, this use to be a this and I was fine with it, I did it my way on my terms, no regrets. Fact is on a side note, many people of color I’ve seen with ink work who are in their 60′s and 70′s, you can still see the ink work fine, the skin has been taken care of with hardly any wrinkles. Take it from me, many people of color age well. My great-nana lived till 109 years old, died in 2000 and she had salt and pepper hair, no big wrinkles. Her daughter my grandmother who died at 86 in 2008 hair was white as snow and lil wrinkles. Many opinions on tattoos are like URBAN MYTHS. Rihanna’s gonna be fine, she is living her life, you do the same.
You’ve been deja vu’d,
BEBE
I love Rihanna’s tattoo’s. If she wants to put the wording backwards, front, on the side, that’s her business.
I don’t like writing on the body for tattos but it works for her. Not everyone. Personally I am tired of the stars on women but to each their own. You made some good points. INKSTARR I like that.
SMH, this girl is so confused. What is she rebelling from? I don’t get it at all. It seems to me Ri Ri is trying to hard. #fail
I love the stars, I have them but in color going all the way down my back. I think people just want to have something to say about tattoos. I also have fallen diamonds on my chest so when I go to work, I cover them with clothes or the coverup make-up. Tattoo Camo for me, it works great!
I am so glad you talked about the whole UM on tattoos. It’s all myths for the most part. Aging in a part of life. If that is the reason not to get a tattoo, talk about ghetto. lol I don’t like the lil markings personally but it’s her body and she can do however she wants. I am sure they are about to go in in 5, 4, 3.
You have to do what is right for you and be responsible about it. I don’t feed into the Urban Myths. Own it is what I say all the time. Thanks for posting at the deja.
I think it’s hot! It makes sense to say Rebelle Fleur than putting it on the body they way it’s suppose to be spelled on spoken in the french way. It’s a twist, unique and it’s her body, her dime, her time. lol Gosh some people are ghetto for getting mad at what someone does on their own body. I hate using the G word but you should have seen some of the comments on YBF… them girls mad over there. lol
Ugh! Not the neck area again. To me it’s tackier than the guns she got. Stop already.
As a man, it really depends on how a woman carries herself. I am not a fan of tattoos on women when the whole package looks sloppy but truthfully if that woman looks good, she is banging those tattoos are gonna be invisible as time goes on because she has that good good about her and before you start, not even talking about smashing. Women love to tell us men what we will find good or bad about another woman. That’s the turn off right there.
I use TCamo to cover up my tattoos for work, weddings and other events I feel it won’t represent me well. Covering up has nothing to do with regretting your tattoo either. I think the tattoo is fly on Rihanna. I wouldn’t copy someone’s tattoo work either. It’s tempting but I wouldn’t because I am a leader not a follower on tattoos.
9 times out of 10 anyone talking about ghetto I always say, ghetto recognizes ghetto. GTFOH! lol This is a grown woman she can do what she wants. I like those stars on her and I cannot believe she didn’t know the correct way to say Rebel Flower in french or write it for that matter. Some people kill me so bad with their jealousy and the need to be so right. lol Come on now, she did the whole tattoo how she saw fit. I love how she is putting it out there. I have five tattoos and I love all mine. The only time I’ve ever covered up my tattoos were for a wedding and out of respect for my grandfather’s funeral. When I get old, whatever I am sure someone will be able to tell what I had tattoe’d.
Check this video out! No probs when you want to cover your inkwork. INK 4 LIFE!
Cool video Nikko, that dude is cute! haha
Why does this make people crazy on these blogs I will never know. I don’t have any tattoos and I will admit, it’s been conditioned that it looks bad. Am I being true to myself? I won’t jump in and get one now but I am considering the possibilities one day. If she can live with her decision to get marked up, anyone else can.
It’s a hot tattoo IMO. I’ve got three with no regrets. Many regrets happen when you just go random. My mother and I have have matching tattoos. She’s a dentist, made it out the hood, fifth child out of eight, all college educated by my grandparents who only had a tenth grade education, doing mid-wife work and farming RIP Paw Paw and Grandmimaw. We all are doing well and our state of mind too. Tattoo’s are a beautiful work of art on you the canvas. We’ll be that ghetto if that makes you happy hatas. I can’t wait to see the next one Rihanna gets.
Positive board, I like that! I’ve been lurking for the longest, let me add my two cents. DERMABLEND, expensive but it works. You get to keep your job and make more money, to pay your monthly bills to do whatever you can afford to do. Your job allows you to get more dermablend to continue to keep your job. lol I also have use MAC but it’s messy for tattoo coverage, too many steps. I don’t have time for that. For a better coverage b/c DB is close to stage makeup and thicker, it serves the purpose. I think Rhianna knows what she is doing without all the crap I’ve been reading at YBF, NB and other sites. I just cannot take so much negativity about what people do with their lives. Don’t make me leave here if you start promoting that mess. jk I shall be back again.
Welcome to The Deja
Rihanna is seeking attention and doing with her body.
It’s cute, she is working that red hair too. People asking why would she? I am asking why wouldn’t she? Ever heard of the right to choose? Some of you need to worry about your own bodies. Let Rihanna be great.
Dermablend is an excellent product. Thumbs up on this!
Love it too
Nice post! GA is also my biggest earning. However, it’s not a much.
How I wish Rihanna didn’t do an explanation… F*&&^%&^$ em! I would have said like in your other post, KISS MY CLASS. Rock your ink how you like. The blogs have successfully found some celebs weak spots. lmao
Some kind of press release was sent out explaining why she got the tattoo. lol I never would have done that smh Oh well, I still like it and it is still her business at the end of the day. TGIF everyone!
Dayum some people are really losing their minds over this girls tattoo’s. If I had a dollar for everyone who is so opinionated I would be a rich MF. #realtalk
I hate you don’t have avatars on here but anyway, Rihanna released a explanation kinda weird but it still is incorrect the spelling. I guess she’s like Burger King wants to do it her way. So far this is the sanest blog yet with comments. Nice blog to, can’t front. peace.
No avatars… I may change that later but thanks for coming by THE DEJA. -bebe
These celebs don’t owe anyone an explanation on what they do. Come on now, stop explaining yourselves, stop trying to kill yourselves and getting on Ustream on these blogs. Where are the Publicist? I need to step my game up and change things, change careers cause some of these celebs need tough love. Yall better hire Waka Flocka’s mom so she can contain some of these foolish actions. Rihanna you don’t need to explain to anyone about what you are doing wth yoru body. OMG they would hate me so much cause I would put the middle finger up on anything that came out about me. Silence kills people more than words. Trust.
She’s sexy, some of you on these blogs need a hug and social life. Calm down about this chick. lol
Truly she is confused. Another tattoo gone wrong. #epicfail
She was trying to be unique and she ended up playing herself, especially with the noun talk. People always know what you getting before getting tattoo’d up and if you F%%$# it up, say nothing. In Rihanna’s case she removed all doubt of intelligence on this situation. lol
I am bored, coming through, leaving. NEXT!
NEXT… jk
Please Rihanna quit while you are ahead and for Godsake don’t go attempting suicide like Fake Fantasia because we going in on your failed tattoo. lol
Let me get this right. She consults for the tattoo, the french wording is used but used incorrectly. FACT. The internet goes H.A.M. and she releases a statement about some nouns bs. COME ON SON. Pretty funny to me. lol
Rihanna please leave well enough alone. No regrets? Act like it.
Let me add my thoughts to the recent set of events regarding this situation. She should have not released a statement ( IMO ). I hope we can get back to seeing celebs be a lil more thicked skinned where opinions are concerned over their choices from others. For example Prince is known to do a play on words. Many come to accept it. Some people went nutty butty on how he did his thing on words but he didn’t explain. I am sure she knew the right way but wanted to do her thing. Be easy yall and thanks for stopping by THE DEJA.
